With more than 30 years’ experience teaching maths and English to primary and secondary children in a variety of schools and other educational settings, Robert Briggs has been successfully running  this popular and well-established centre for ten years, starting the business in 2014.

Tuition for primary and secondary children

“I have been extremely proud to deliver quality tuition for primary and secondary children in Maths and English to my local community at affordable rates, catering for ages 5 – 16.

I taught locally for many years in a delightful, well-known and high-achieving primary school. Teaching across the age groups (nursery to year six!) and working alongside a huge variety of children and brilliant staff taught me everything I know about how children learn as well as how to help them achieve their potential.” 

After leaving full time teaching in 2010 Robert became the “go-to”  supply teacher (a role he loved!) in a handful of well-known  schools in and around Muswell Hill.   He then took on a role running SATs booster classes in a large multicultural school in East London, teaching children for whom English is not a first language- another great learning experience!

Before starting the Muswell Hill Tuition Centre, Robert was employed as operations manager in a well-known, global, after-school tuition centre in East London,  working alongside primary and secondary teachers. The remit was to increase numbers, teaching maths and English (GCSE; SATs; 11+ etc) and student intake quickly rose to maximum capacity.
